When Americana UK interviewed The Roseline at the time of the release of their sixth album they self-described their sound as “Somewhat literate, Midwestern, alt-country, bummer music with a hint of hope.” Returning with their seventh album ‘GOOD/GRIEF’ that description still holds up.
The band, led by singer-songwriter Colin Halliburton, have fifteen years behind them – but the new album released on April 6th is most likely the band’s most personal musical statement, drawing as it does on some hard times for Halliburton over the last year. ‘Better to the Bone‘ draws in on the hard times and exhales a glimmer of hope “when I’m riding with you I’m better to the bone”
