Erin Ponsonby is, unfortunately, about to be sadly disappointed. On this new song from the Scottish pop-folk singer’s EP ‘Little Town‘ there’s a recipe for disaster. All Erin Ponsoby wants is “love at first sight” for a man who will “bring me flowers and run in the pouring rain / ‘cos the thought of losing me will drive me insane.” She really doesn’t want much – just love exactly the way that it is portrayed in the movies.
She’s not completely deluded – “I realise that it is just in my head” – but, even so she’s still going to cling to that fantasy. At least though the daydream is set to a finger-snapping and upbeat soundtrack. Dream on, Erin Ponsonby.
