It’s a welcome return for Great American Trainwreck who bring their idiosyncratic take on Southern Rock, shot through with a bluesy funk, to ‘Sweet Pepper Jelly’, taken from their upcoming new album. The band formed in 2016 with the aim of bringing a progressive feel to a blend of Americana styles – bluegrass, southern rock, country. ‘Sweet Pepper Jelly‘ is a molasses sweetened, steamily swampy take on that blueprint.
