The County Affair are Kevin Brennan and Tony Regan who have been friends since their schooldays in Nottingham, spending their journey time on the school bus productively by discussing the latest developments in the then new sounds of Country Rock and especially Outlaw Country. Kevin’s father led an Irish Country band called The Moonshiners and the pair were drafted into it in their teens spending their weekends playing up to three gigs. They also started their own band which, inevitably perhaps, fell by the wayside when Kevin and Tony headed off to different Universities, although the friendship endured.
Fate intervened to reunite them when they found they were both working on the East coast of America – a new musical partnership was formed which would see them playing widely across Texas and beyond. A record deal was offered, but the pair had graduate jobs waiting for them in the UK and so…..fast forward thirty years and the time was right to reignite their performing careers. ‘Every Ghost‘ is the first taste of their latest recordings and is taken from an album scheduled for release later this year.
