Doctor Lo “Claiborne Avenue” – Listen, and take care

Possibly one of the last of the pandemic songs (we hope) – ‘Claibone Avenue‘ wanders around New Orleans, the city that Doctor Lo has called home for a decade.  And everything has changed – the drunks and the car jackers have all gone home – after all, who knows what you might catch in the air?

Commenting on all the historical references that pepper ‘Claiborne Avenue‘ Doctor Lo commented “you have this combination in New Orleans culture of outward festivity but on a deeper level great pain, and you start to see how the life-affirming partying and parades are on some level a way of coping and fighting back against the pain, and that dynamic is very deep, and “Claiborne Avenue” is an attempt to explore, so to speak, the pandemic-period iteration of it.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
