Well that’s it for us for another week dear reader and in the absence of a classic clip in its usual Friday slot we head out this week with a clip of Counting Crows peforming ‘A Long December’ from their ‘Recovering the Satellites’ album in 2002 on the Howard Stern Show, although there are any number of equally as worthwhile performances we could have shared. It is hard to believe it’s now a quarter of a century old. There have been numerous pieces in recent days written about the song – a Christmas classic which works on so many levels. For me, the pinnacle of their output really, and particularly this year, all the more heartbreaking. Still, maybe this (next) year will be better than the last. Have a good one.
