Playing For Change marks International Day of Peace with star-studded video

Like many charities before, Playing For Change has harnessed the power of music to raise awareness. On September 21st, Internation Day of Peace, the charity released another video in their ‘Songs for Change‘ series. This one featured Cat Steven’s song ‘Peace Train’. The live stream was sung by Yusuf and featuring Baaba Maal, Rhiannon Giddens, Pat Simmons (The Doobie Brothers) and James “Hutch” Hutchinson (bass player with Bonnie Raitt), and musicians from the Silkroad Ensemble.

Other videos in the series include Keb Mo, guitarist Nico Bereciartúa, Brandi Carlisle, Shemekia Copeland, and Slide legend Robert Randolph.
