Graham Nash “Military Madness” – Unfortunately timely… again

So, we are not going to play the game where we pretend you’ve never heard of Americana Music Association UK Lifetime achievement winner Graham Nash.  Suffice to say that Nash has a new live album on the way (May 6th via Proper Records). It’s called ‘Graham Nash: Live‘ (that was a hard day at the office, eh?), and features live recordings of songs from ‘Wild Tales‘ and ‘Songs for Beginners‘.  Today we have a song of which Graham Nash has said: “We’re supposed to learn from history and it doesn’t appear as if we’re learning much. Songs like ‘Military Madness’…is that not relevant today? The hope that we can change the world, isn’t that still relevant today? I’m very flattered that my music seems to have lasted this long, but I’m also a little upset that we have to keep singing a song like ‘Military Madness’ right up to the present. Enough already

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
