Anna Tivel “Memphis” – well, everything is going to be so easy now…

We told you back in December about Anna Tivel’s B-Side companion to the acclaimed album “Animal Poem“, and we’ve mentioned a few times that we collectively think Anna Tivel is just fab, fab, fab. That last hasn’t changed – so we can pretty much introduce this latest single as being another fantastic song from an artist who just seems to be casually brilliant. To be fair, our interview with her does suggest she has to put some work into being this good.

Anna Tivel shares about today’s single that: “I started writing ‘Memphis’ on an airplane after meeting an electric eyed ex-convict heading to an evangelical gathering in Tennessee. He was magnetic, ecstatic, possibly manic, and so in love with life. He got me thinking about the things we reach for when reality is too painful to accept.
