Ashley Harding “Once Again” – sometimes life’s a cycle, and not in a good way

Ashley Harding hails from Wales and now resides in the picturesque landscapes of Cornwall where he has honed his skills as a full-time musician on the vibrant music circuit. Ashley’s songs focus on character and storytelling with dreamers, fighters, lovers, and losers alike taking their places in his narratives.  Like today’s song which is a rueful honky-tonk accepting that a relationship might be, just a little bit, lopsided: “you’ve got me where you want me once again / you seem to break the rules and I’m your fool again.”  And, to be honest, things just get worse for the guy as the song goes on.  Love, it makes one do odd things sometimes.

Once Again‘ is taken from Ashley Harding’s debut album ‘Spoon Music’ which came out on August 18th.  On it he aims to reconnect with a classic era of song writing through a combination of  Country, Americana, and Roots music.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
