Bojockey “Maker Made” – Free yourself of the fear

London-based Bojockey started out as the bedroom recording project of Samuel William’s bedroom project but has since expanded to a full band with the addition of Helena Grace (vocals, bass), Dustin Price (electric guitar), Alex Shave (organ) and Remi Garrier(drums).  Together they create a walloping folk-rock sound as illustrated by ‘Maker Made’ which sees the group struggling with “the weight of the cross on your back – those thoughts and views that have followed you from childhood, that only after time you realise aren’t your own. It’s about being in that place where the only answer is to free yourself. Free yourself of the fear, free yourself of the judgment, and free yourself to live a life where the only maker is you.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
