Carpenter, Fowlis, Polwart “A Heart That Never Closes” – voices in harmony

We have been remiss – although we did review the new album ‘Looking For The Thread‘ by CFP or, if you prefer (and who wouldn’t?)  Mary Chapin Carpenter, Julie Fowlis, and Karine Polwart  and we did in fact mention the UK tour before – the second single has not yet been featured.  Well, today we right that historic wrong. There’s all the hallmarks of quality from the album – Mary Chapin Carpenter’s song and lead vocal, the fine support singing from Julie Fowlis, and Karine Polwart and just a little extra magic from Josh Kaufman who as well as being part of the band produced the album.

A reminder of the remaining UK tour dates:

03 March – Birmingham – Town Hall
05 March – London – London Palladium
06 March – Sunderland – The Fire Station *SOLD OUT
07 March – Edinburgh – Festival Theatre *SOLD OUT
08 March – Edinburgh – Festival Theatre

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
