It’s one of Woody Guthrie’s unset songs that were rescued by Billy Bragg and Wilco, but if anyone has a right to cover it then I guess that person would be Cole Quest who is Woody’s grandson. Although as the lyric video makes clear it’s actually Mike from the City Pickers who’s doing the singing. ‘Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key‘ is taken from the new EP ‘Self [En]titled‘ which is the follow-up to the 2017debut album by Cole Quest and The City Pickers.
