I long for us to have leadership of the same calibre as Spain's PM Pedro Sánchez. A really good piece in the Guardian today on him. He's been outstanding in recent weeks.

Or to think that practising blind and servile obedience is a form of leadership … We will not be complicit in something that is bad for the world and that is also contrary to our values and interests, simply out of fear of reprisals from someone.” Can you imagine Starmer (or anyone in the current government) saying this!
