Hi Joan, sorry I don't really have anything to offer right now... I think most music I'm listening to is either not UK or not new! 

I'll have think though, I consume a LOT of music so there might be something I'm not remembering right this moment. 😀 

I saw Birds Flying Backwards at The Long Road festival, and they were amazing! 

Steady Habits are great. New in respect that they've got an album and tour together at last after a lengthy prep period. Should be a fair few folks new band in the near future. 

Saw Brown Horse in Nottingham a couple of weeks ago and they were outstanding. The support acts Grain Mother and Catmilk were good too. An excellent night in a great little venue (The Bodega)

Not bands although they play with them, three of my current favourite UK americana-ajacent acts are Hannah White - whose new album 'Fine Day' came out last month, Simeon Hammond Dallas, who played the Long Road this year and last, put an out EP earlier in the year 'Seventeen' and Izzie Yardley who is probably at the folkier end of the spectrum and released a live EP in August.  Bandcamp links for the last two on the artist names.

@richardparkinson Two good recommendations. I saw Simeon Hammond Dallas supporting Lady Nade a couple of years ago. 

Izzy has released some great EPs over the last couple of years. She also plays with another Frome artist worth investigating DG Solaris
