Here’s a real treat for the end of another hard won week – the first single from Gabriel Minnikin’s new album ‘Sweet Nothings’ which was released on Valentines’ Day. And what a song it is – not a play on words on the classic Alice Cooper ‘Under your Wheels‘, although coming from somewhere close to the same emotional space.
It is, as you might expect, a perfect – and we do mean perfect – slice of americana straight from Canada. Blessed with lush layers of instrumentation and simply drowning in a perfection of lap steel it’s a strong contender for song of the month – if not the year. Go on. Take a listen. You deserve it.
