Canadian folk/country harmony trio, Good Lovelies have announced a 12-date tour of the UK in support of their new album, ‘We Will Never Be The Same’, which lands next week on October 6th via Outside Music. The live dates will be the band’s first in the UK for almost four years and will commence at The Junction in Cambridge on January 17th. Other highlights include a performance at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections on January 23rd and a finale at London’s St Pancras Old Church on February 1st.
Their first album in five years, and working with the producer team of Joshua Van Tassel and Christine Bougie (who both also performed on the album), ‘We Will Never Be The Same’ was written and produced in cottages across Canada, including a cottage owned by the legendary broadcaster/author Stuart McLean. The record was finessed and finalized at Toronto’s Union Sound.
Coming together in 2006, Passmore, Ough, and Brooks, who are all talented singer/songwriters in their own right, released their first EP, ‘Oh My!’ in 2006, followed in 2009 with a self-titled full album Good Lovelies, as well as the Christmas themed ‘Under the Mistletoe’ later that same year. And hey, we can forgive a Christmas album when the vocals are this, er, lovely.
Tickets are on-sale now via the band’s official website with full tour details below.
