Great American Trainwreck “Hell On The Rise” – Listen

Great American Trainwreck are a five piece band operating out of Seattle who have been playing for a couple of years, time enough to get their eponymous debut album together – it’s out on May 23rd.  The band formed when Stephanie Ward and Chuck Dunklin decided to take a new approach to the music they loved – southern rock, bluegrass, and classic country.  ‘Hell on the Rise‘,  a best of times/worst of times anthem dealing with feelings of divisiveness and desperation in uncertain times, shows how (with keyboard player Andy Basinger, Dan Rogers on bass and drummer Dave Bush) they’ve succeeded on that score.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
