The Oregon-based artist Alice Di Micele will be releasing her eighteenth album, “Reverse The Flow” on 10th October 2025 via Alice Otter Music. Di Micele aims to create music “to help others heal and feel”. She is an artist rooted in the natural world, using the earth as her primary source of inspiration, threading its essence into her music. “Reverse The Flow” features nine songs, all but one of which are written by Di Micele. The other, ’Bonafide’, is a co-write with Andy Canad.

On “Reverse the Flow”, Di Micele (vocals, acoustic guitars) is joined by her band Force of Nature: Rob Kohler (acoustic & electric bass), Casad (acoustic & electric guitar), Nick Kirby (drums), plus guests Jenny Conlee-Drizos (organ), Darol Anger (violin), Sarah DeVallière (piano), Skip Edwards (piano & organ), Crystal Reeves (violin & viola), Michal Palzewicz (cello), Bret Levick (Producer, electric guitar, backing vocals), Janelle Burdell (percussion) & Artie Watson (drums & percussion).

Di Micele’s story began as a singer, first in her school choir and later as a teenager in a local rock band. But her life took a new direction after watching David Grisman Quintet perform at Carnegie Hall. Inspired by the show, she called her band’s guitarist that same night and asked him to teach her guitar, determined to become a writer herself.

1988 saw the release of Di Micele’s debut album “Make A Change”, which was followed by many years of touring and performances at festivals and music venues. She has shared the stage with legends such as Bonnie Raitt and Joan Baez, Arlo Guthrie, and even Grisman himself. She has remained an independent musician, releasing and touring her music, focusing on her audience and building a loyal following.

In 2002, after 15 solid years on the road, singing about nature and the human spirit, Alice decided it was time to live those songs a little more fully. She spent the next seven summers on the Wild and Scenic Rogue River in Southern Oregon working as a raft guide, before eventually returning to music full-time.

Reverse The Flow” is being crowdfunded, and pre-orders can be accessed via this link.

She also has a side-project, Petty Thievery, that celebrates the music of one of her songwriting inspirations, Tom Petty.

The first single from “Reverse The Flow” is ‘The Mystery’. It is an ethereal spiritual love song with a beautiful string arrangement.
