Jess Jocoy wins The Twang Factor 2

Nashville singer-songwriter secures a clear victory in our second search for new talent.

Our first Twang Factor last year produced an incredibly tight result with a mere 18 votes separating the top three. Jess Jocoy, our winner this year, secured a rather more comfortable victory as AUK readers were clearly won over to her gentle, melodic folksy sound and her beautiful songwriting. A considerable achievement given the very high quality of this year’s second season of the Twang Factor.

Jess was delighted to have won and gave us this reaction:

“I’m so excited to learn the readers of Americana UK have voted me as the winner of the Twang Factor 2! With all of the talented artists in this competition, it’s a real honor to be supported in this way, especially being so far away. Thank you to Americana-UK and all the fine folks who voted. I hope to be headed your way sooner rather than later to play for y’all in person. Til then” – Jess

We certainly look forward welcoming Jess Jocoy to these shores in the future. We also have a treat for our readers as Jess is going to record an exclusive ‘Winner’s Session’ for us which we hope to bring to you very soon. In the meantime sit back and enjoy Jess’s winning performance once again.

We’d like to thank everyone who entered the Twang Factor this year. We were thrilled with every one of our finalists’ exclusive videos and are quite sure that we will be hearing more from all of them in the future. Thanks also to all those that didn’t make the final selection. It was genuinely painful being unable to fit more of you in. Finally, look out for the Twang Factor 3 next year. We can’t wait!
