Kashena Sampson – UK dates in support of debut album ‘Wild Heart’

Following her successful performance at the UK Americana Awards showcase back in January, new Nashville singer-songwriter Kashena Sampson hits these shores at the end of the month to help promote her debut album ‘Wild Heart’ which came out in the United States last year and has just been released here on New Moon Records. Recorded live to tape in a couple days at popular East Nashville recording studio, The Bomb Shelter, Sampson has recorded with top Nashville-based players, including Jon Estes co-producing – as well as playing bass – Jeremy Fetzer on guitar, and Jon Radford on drums.

Receiving praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, who compared her to her hero, Stevie Nicks, ‘Wild Heart’ is an intimate reflection of the journey Kashena Sampson has been on, drawing from the musical styles she loves, while also forging her own identity.

Along with her renowned performance at AmericanaFest UK in London earlier this year, Sampson’s reputation for her powerful live performances has landed her other notable bookings, including a slot supporting country legend Merle Haggard’s sons, Ben & Noel Haggard, at East Nashville’s largest venue, The Basement East.

Performing at the Red Rooster Festival at Euston Hall on 1 June, alongside the likes of Eli Paperboy Reed, Pokey LaFarge, Gill Landry and Yola Carter, Sampson has also announced a further four dates in the UK:

THU May 31st – The Slaughtered Lamb, London
FRI June 1st – Red Rooster Festival, Euston Hall
SUN June 3rd – The Lantern, Halifax
MON June 4th – Greystones, Sheffield
WED June 6th – The Prince Albert, Brighton
