Lee Rogers “Hellbound” going down to the bottom…

Fifteen years is a long time between releases, but that’s what Lee Rogers has achieved.  The Northern Irish singer from Carrickfergus signed a record deal back in 2006 and put out his debut release ‘Drawing Clocks‘.  And then he made a slight sideslip of a career change and became a tattoo artist.  Picked up a few awards over the next decade and a half but now has returned to making music.  For the same label.  He has a new album out in 2022, but is currently promoting his new EP ‘Dark Notions‘, a collection of songs that sounded wrong for the album but sounded right together.  ‘Hellbound‘ is a sailor’s story – as the crew set off on a debauched path towards their predestined final destination.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
