Michael Feuerstack was one of the songwriters in The Wooden Stars and then released a string of records as Snailhouse before recording under his own name. His next album ‘Harmonize the Moon‘ is out next March, and actually opens with this song. It’s something of a comment on songwriting, the intangible threads of words and music drifting away “it’s like trying to recall a dream you had.” ‘Harmonize the Moon’ came together this Spring and was completely solo recorded in his apartment – but the songs have been years in the making, written on his wanderings and his tours as well as at home. Gentle and reflective, a thoughtful way to open up the last day of the week.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
