Grammy Winner Patty Griffin goes ‘Back at the Start’ on the first single from her new full-length album. Driving drums underpin the track, which has some fantastic spaghetti western/spy movie guitar from David Pulkingham and Griffin’s distinctive vocal delivery. Griffin chose the song to open the album, “I came back to the song because I like that first line,” Patty Griffin says. “Part of it is about getting on with it, but part is also about staying stuck and going through the motions. It’s really a constant thing to try to be alive while you’re alive.”
‘Crown of Roses’, Griffin’s eleventh album, is due 25th July on her own PGM Recordings label with distribution by Thirty Tigers.
