Raine Hamilton “Love Has Come For Me” – Gorgeous acceptance of the best gift

We’re pretty sure that we’ve mentioned before that we regard love as a good thing, on the whole.  And Winnipeg, Western Canada native Raine Hamilton’s new song ‘Love Has Come for Me‘ captures that almost shocking jolt of surprise that can occur when love actually has the decency to come a-knockin’.  On one level then, it’s a beautifully arranged and sung love song – but there are other levels to it as well as Raine Hamilton explained: “When I was writing this song, I was shining that light around inside, seeing who had been left behind, and I rediscovered some parts of myself that I had long ignored. For me, that discovery had a lot to do with queerness, and finding my way to deep love of that part.  I want to release this song during Pride month as an offering to the queer folks out there, looking for an anthem of self love.

Love Has Come for Me‘ is taken from Raine’s upcoming album ‘Brave Land‘ which is scheduled for release next year.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
