Something for the long weekend: Steve Earle “City of Immigrants”

Well that’s it from us for this week. If you haven’t got your tickets yet for our 25 year anniversary event featuring Chuck Prophet, Steve Wynn and you know, others of our ilk, you can head over here to nab yours, starting from £40 including all booking fees. In the meantime we leave you dear reader with a newly recorded version of Steve Earle’s City of Immigrants, a folk-rock song celebrating NYC’s diversity which was originally released in 2007 on Washington Square Serenade featuring Forro in the Dark. The new video directed by Steve Buscemi is a timely reminder for those of us on both sides of the Atlantic that as the lyrics note, “All of us are immigrants, Every daughter, every son, Everyone is everyone, All of us are immigrants – everyone”.

Take care, don’t forget Palestine and keep fighting those fascists. See you next week.
