Something for the weekend: Big Red Machine “Phoenix”

Well that’s it from us for another week. We are human here at AUK, or 95% of us are anyway, and accordingly we will occasionally miss something epic, a case in question being this track from a couple of years back by kind-of-supergroup Big Red Machine founded by The National’s Aaron Dessner and Bon Iver/Justin Vernon but incorporating the likes of Fleet Foxes and Anais Mitchell (and Taylor Swift!) on some collaborations, both of whom appear on this achingly beautiful track. I did say to my colleague Jon Aird “how on earth did we miss this?” and he said “well we do get sent a lot of music” which is indeed true dear reader – may God forgive me. Have a good one.
