Something for the Weekend: Bruce Springsteen “Mary Queen of Arkansas”

Here’s a nice live rendition of Springsteen’s bitter-sweet love song from the new download release ‘Songs of Character‘ that is out today.  It’s  something to contemplate whilst you lap up the latest news about the appearances of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Hyde Park this July.  Obviously Bruce is known for his epic shows – but the Boss wants to lay on a full day of entertainment for the loyal fans.  And, yeah, we know, we’ve read about it too, the corporate and the bored who are willing to fork out a few thousand just to ignore the impossible to ignore.  Where’s Tom Petty when you need him?

Anyway – let’s not dwell in Downsville, here’s the big news about the supports that will appear alongside the biggest thing in Americana.

Thursday 6th July: The Chicks and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls

Saturday 8th July: The Chicks and James Bay
