Something for the weekend: CMAT “When a Good Man Cries”

Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. If you’re a supporter your playlist will be in your email box at 5pm as usual but in the meantime we leave you this week with a remarkably hip artist for us here in AUK Towers who’s not only playlisted on 6 Music but Radio 1, how often do we get down with the kids? Although does anyone under the age of 30 listen to the radio these days? Answers on a postcard (actually they won’t know what that is either, this is like a doom-loop). CMAT for the uninitiated is an Irish singer-songwriter who did a barnstorming set at Glasto back in June and whose new album “EURO-COUNTRY” has song titles such as ‘The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station’ (“That man should not have his face on posters”) and ‘Lord, Let That Tesla Crash’. She’s also outspoken on Gaza in a way a certain other very high-profile female singer-songwriter isn’t which is obviously a credit to her. ‘When a Good Man Cries’ is bringing indie-country to the masses anyway which can only be a good thing.

Take care everyone, don’t forget Palestine and keep fighting the fascists. See you next week.
