Something for the weekend: Dylan John Thomas “Feel The Fire”

Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. We leave you with a song from the new self-titled debut album by Glasgow based Dylan John Thomas – although he’s been championed by the likes of Sam Fender and Gerry Cinnamon, his love of music began with Johnny Cash. After playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater on Playstation growing up, he learnt to play ‘Ring of Fire’ from the soundtrack on the guitar and subsequently delved into Cash’s broader catalogue along with the music of Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel among others. Working his way up through busking, it’s only just now he’s releasing a full album but on the strength of songs like ‘Feel the Fire’, a song with a key change towards the end which isn’t awful, we suspect he’s going to do big things. Sadly we’ll all soon be feeling the fire now the official opposition have dropped their last policy with a spine (I refer you to longtime AUK reader Les Bright’s letter published in The Guardian today). Have a good one. Free Palestine.
