Something for the weekend: Fountains of Wayne “Valley Winter Song”

Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. Today is the second anniversary of the passing of the Fountains of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger, one of the first musicians whose life was taken by Covid. Longtime readers of the site will know of my deep affection for the band, and what better to accompany the great British weather this weekend than ‘Valley Winter Song’ taken from their 2003 album ‘Welcome Interstate Managers’ – yeah it had that song on the album, but so much more, as this reflective track with a melody to kill for shows. Hope you’re resting in peace Adam. Have a good one everyone.
