Something for the weekend: Joshua Ray Walker “Hello”

Well that’s it for another week dear reader – so much good music out today including the new album by Lord Huron which we’ll be reviewing here on AUK any day now, at least when they send us our copy. Anyhoo we leave you with a new cover from Dallas based Joshua Ray Walker – you won’t have ever heard Lionel Richie’s ‘Hello’ played or sung like this before. Or even if you have, not this good. His ‘Glad You Made It’ record was ranked 5th by Rolling Stone on their “Best Country and Americana Albums of 2020” list so we expect to be hearing a lot more from him. Crikey this guy can sing. Oh one more thing – following on from our Pops piece this morning, if you want donate to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency which delivers emergency assistance to Palestine refugees in Gaza – you can do that here. Have a good one.
