Something for the weekend: Lord Huron “Looking Back”

Credit: Cole Silberman

Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader, and it’s good to be back after my Colombia travails although I do miss the feeling of being in a country governed by someone who feels vaguely relatable. You win some! We leave you this week with a new song by a band we haven’t featured for ages here on AUK – Lord Huron who have a new album out in July, more details next week. They’ve today released the song ‘Looking Back’ from the new record, which frontman Ben Schneider elaborates on: “The weight of your past can distort your present and future, the way massive celestial objects warp the fabric of the universe. Like a bowling ball on a trampoline. This song wonders if it’s possible to let go, or if looking back is a fundamental law of existence.”

Take care everyone, don’t forget Palestine and keep fighting the fascists -hopefully Pope Leo will be one of the good guys. Have a good one, see you next week.
