Something for the weekend: Olav Larsen & The Alabama Rodeo Stars feat. Camilla Rosenlund “Friendship”

Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. As the old saying goes “never meet your heroes”, although it should probably be widened to “every band you think would be good in your house.” This song goes out anyway to my good friend Barry as some cathartic therapy for a night in the distant past we both endured! Larsen is an African-Norwegian who found his way to americana via records by Gram Parsons, Hank Williams, Neil Young, Uncle Tupelo and John Prine. His new song recorded with his band and singer-songwriter is probably the loveliest thing you’ll hear today. Have a good one.
