Steep Canyon Rangers “Sunny Days” – Listen

Well, we bring Bluegrass Tracks Week to a close (you did, dear reader, notice that it was Bluegrass Tracks Week?  Good) with a new single from the upcoming album ‘Arm in Arm‘, out on Yep Roc on the 16th October.  It’s somewhat ironic that this song should arrive just as the last fadings of Summer become a memory and the rain and cooler days of Autumn arrive.

Sunny Days‘ is a dramatically bouncing and driven song from the Steep Canyon Rangers, questioning how it’s possible for someone to always “stay one step ahead of the storm”.  Guys, it’s either luck – or good planning.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
