SUSS “Winter Was Hard” – rest of the year no doddle either…

Bear with us, as this is a little complicated.  ‘Winter Was Hard‘ is the latest track from ambient alt-country band SUSS.  It’s taken from their latest EP of the same name.  This EP also forms side three of SUSS’ upcoming double album which consists of the previously released EPs ‘Night Suite‘ and ‘Heat Haze‘ which make up sides one and two of that album with side four being ‘Across The Horizon‘ a fourth EP to be released soon.  When all the EPs are gathered together and made available on pristine vinyl they will make up the mere bookmark titles on a double album called ‘SUSS‘.  What, on reflection, could be simpler?

Difficult?  Easy?  Ambient psychedelic alt-country?  It’s all so confusing – so what a relief that this is a wordless musical piece (the ambient in ambient psychedelic alt-country was the big hint there) forming as it does the latest instalment in what we like to call Americana UK’s sit down and just stop worrying about it ambient psychedelic alt-country Wednesday afternoon Instrumental piece.  It’s snappy.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
