Welcome to our final edition of The Twang Factor 3. The quality of the artists over this series has been fantastic. We’d like to thank everyone who brought their music to our attention including those that didn’t quite make the final cut. We are grateful for your interest in AUK and wish all the artists well in their future endeavours. Next week we will publish our third place, runner-up and winner as decided by our AUK Judging Panel. In the interests of transparency, the panel consists of: Clint West (Features Editor and Panel Chair), Mark Whitfield (AUK Editor), Andrew Frolish (Videos Editor), Martin Johnson (Interviews Editor) and Helen Jones (Staff Writer).
Our final act of Twang Factor 3 are Sunsinger & the High Seas. The Bedord-based band consist of singer-songwriter Simon Gutteridge, Adam Knowles (guitar/vocals), Mark Calder (bass/vocals) and Nigel Ali (drums). They describe their sound as “alt-country, folk and americana tunes with a hint of pop and packed full of catchy melodies and soaring choruses” For The Twang Factor 3 the band have chosen to play an otherwise unreleased song ‘Worried Mind’, a “good country toe-tapper, made for all the misty-eyed unrequited dreamers, the jilted lovers and the downright down-trodden hearts”.
