Award-winning Nashville duo The War and Treaty has announced their “Lover’s Game” tour, which includes four dates starting with a set at The Long Road Festival at the end of August. The tour promotes their most recent album of the same name, which came out this March on Mercury Nashville and was produced by David Cobb (John Prine, Jason Isbell). The husband and wife team have been recording together since 2014 and are no strangers to the UK, but this will be their first headline tour this side of the Atlantic. KC Vines saw them last year and described the act as “a celebration of joy and tenderness” – the full review of that Glasgow show can be enjoyed here.
List of tour dates:
August 27 – The Long Road Festival, Leicestershire
August 29 – Dublin Workman’s Club
August 31 – Glasgow Oran Mor
September 1 – London Omeara
“Our time last year in the UK was so surreal,” comment The War And Treaty, whose debut UK tour in 2022 included an appearance at Black Deer Festival. “The energy the crowd gave us was so mind blowing. We are amped up to come back. Actually, we couldn’t get back soon enough!”
Tickets to the show can be bought on the artist’s website from this Friday.
