Australian guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel has announced a UK tour in February and March with dobro player Jerry Douglas. The tour supports the new double compilation album ‘The Best of Tommysongs’, available now on Cruzen Street Records.

Emmanuel is a highly decorated musician who has accrued two Grammy Award nominations, two ARIA Awards and repeated honours in the Guitar Player magazine reader’s poll. Emmanuel is a noted fingerstyle guitarist who frequently threads three different parts simultaneously into his material, operating as a one-person band that handles the melody, the supporting chords and the bass all at once. Emmanuel never plays the same show twice as he improvises much of the material during every performance.

Emmanuel’s latest double album, ‘The Best of Tommysongs’, is a thirty-track compilation re-recorded to reflect his current arrangements and improve production quality. The album features Emmanuel’s most well-known works such as ‘Angelina‘, ‘Lewis & Clark’, and ‘It’s Never Too Late‘ along with fan favourites such as ‘Mombasa‘ and ‘Train to Dusseldorf’. It also contains five brand new songs, including ‘Fuel‘ and ‘Song For A Rainy Morning‘.
