Track premiere: Rebecca Blasband “Those Happy Days”

Born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Rebecca Blasband has been recording for over two decades now, and she’s sharing her new track ‘Those Happy Days’ from her new album which (wait for this…) she wrote with the spirit John Lennon, with whom she had (in her mind) a very real relationship with from 1991-2000. “It’s a tongue in cheek song about looking back on the happy old days of early rock and roll which were simpler, straightforward and fucking fun. The song is meant to be simple in structure, it was fun to write and it was written to have fun to listen to, reminiscent but not nostalgic. I thought it might have been a throwaway but fell in love with it and it’s a big part of the story behind the album which has very much to do with John Lennon.” And being based in Liverpool, we can’t resist anything Lennon related.
