Video: Barry Gibb ft. Gillian Welch and David Rawlings “Butterfly”

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings are one of a number of artists who feature on Barry Gibb’s forthcoming country/roots album ‘Greenfields’, which is produced by Dave Cobb – you can hear them on this track ‘Butterfly’ from that record, a song which was first released on the 1970 Bee Gees outtakes compilation ‘Inception/Nostalgia’. Written by Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb, the UK group United 4 + 2 recorded it in 1967, three years before the Bee Gees released their own version. Jason Isbell also appears on the album, and you can read a really interesting conversation between him and Gibb which RS published last week here. It’s like a mutual admiration club, sickening.
