Video: Ferris & Sylvester “I Should Be On a Train”

With the contrast of the quieter lulls and the scorching emotional moments, this song is one of the most engaging yet from Ferris & Sylvester.  Searing lines, such as: “I can’t bear your touch,” are direct and punchy, just like the their sound when they turn it up.  ‘I Should Be On a Train’ is the title track from their upcoming EP, due out on 2nd October.  Written in February in the back of a tour bus between Prague and Vienna (on tour…those were the days…), the song follows a woman dreaming of escaping a relationship but lacking the courage to leave.

The video’s Super 8 footage of the couple enjoying the tranquil countryside adds a touch of nostalgia, especially when paired with scenes from their last headline gig before the lockdown.

The new EP will also feature the isolation anthem ‘Everyone is home’, released to acclaim in May.  Ferris & Sylvester say of the new EP: “The world is adapting to a new reality, and we’ve been determined to adapt with it and get creative. It can be difficult in isolation to know how to move forward. People are lonely, overwhelmed and yearning to connect. We were busy writing for future projects, trying to map out the next chapters. But we decided it was more important to give what we can now. All we know is we are happiest when sharing our music and we hope this brings joy to people.”  This should keep us going until their full-length album due out in 2021.  Enjoy.
