Video: Lord Huron “Not Dead Yet”

Check out the hypnotic rhythm and sonic sweep of the new single from Lord Huron.  ‘Not Dead Yet’ is the first new music from the band since 2018 and they have returned with an utterly absorbing song accompanied by a mysterious video.  We see the band performing in the Whispering Pines studio, where the blurry ghosts of musicians from the past merge with the present as time in the studio unravels.  The release coincides with the second episode of their four-part streaming series ‘Alive from Whispering Pines’.  The next episode is due on 18th March and tickets to the livestream shows can be purchased from the band’s website, here.

The musicianship is excellent and the lyrics are engagingly direct: “You got holes in your clothes // And booze on your breath // You Look like hell // And you smell like death.”  Whatever comes next from Lord Huron in 2021, we can expect it to experimental and absorbing.
