Video: Our Band “Up Here on this Mountain”

Americana duo Our Band have struck some subtle gold with their new video for ‘Up Here on this Mountain’.   Five musicians in a simple studio setting, with singers Justin Poindexter and Sasha Papernik leading the way on guitar and piano.  Their close vocal harmonies blend over the band playing atypical and sophisticated chord changes for americana music.  And speaking of soaring, legendary steel guitarist Cindy Cashdollar plays her eight string lap steel in a way that will break your heart. With Dave Speranza on upright bass and Rohin Khemain on tablas (tablas!) providing a tasteful and solid foundation, this is pure music being made by human hands and voices.

Poindexter and Papernik have been vocal and active in opposition to the invasion of Ukraine and are planning travel to Eastern Europe this summer to work for peace efforts on behalf of the U.S. State Department.  Check it out.
