Video Premiere: Lou Kyme “Want You Back With Me”

With a great groove, excellent guitar work and an uplifting melody, here is the new single from Lou Kyme. It’s taken from the upcoming album, ‘What’s the Worst That Could Happen?’, due out on 4th September.  Some years ago, Kyme took a trip to Austin, Texas, where she met Chuck Prophet and Mission Express and friendships formed.  After two years of song-writing, she journeyed to San Francisco in 2019, to record with Chuck and friends.

Having grown up playing and releasing albums with the family band, Okeh Wranglers, in Southampton, Lou Kyme has come a long way. ‘Want You Back With Me’ was written about making a ‘soul connection’ while walking down an English street.  This is a live, stripped back version of the song, recorded during lock-down, featuring Vicente Rodriguez, who also produced the album, and  guitarist James DePrato of Mission Express.  Tap your feet and enjoy.
