Here’s the latest single from Chicago singer-songwriter Terry White and his band The Loaded Dice. ‘Out of Reach’ rolls and flows, urged on by Paul Bivans’ drums, Andon Davis’s guitar and Michael Krayniak’s tuneful bass line. There are flourishes of harmonica from White and an uplifting solo from Chris Neville on keys; the combination of instruments from this talented group creates a rich sound, full of texture and energy.

The video was shot, edited, and produced by Kevin and Carolyn James of the Department of Production, largely at The Chancery, a private club in Oak Park, IL. In the visual, the mood is celebratory, and there’s a lot of joy shared amongst the musicians and the band. Above all, White and the band like they are having a fine time, enjoying the act of performing for its own sake.

‘Out of Reach’ is the first single from White’s upcoming album “You Won’t Have a Name”, which is due for release on 26th September 2025. Known for his work with the bands Cannonball, Modern Day Saints and the Yellowhammers, this is White’s fourth solo album. Over the last four years, the tracks were recorded one at a time with few overdubs, helping to generate that live-in-the-studio sound. White and the band were supported by a host of collaborators, who contribute musical depth to the songs. This is a collection that showcases White’s fine songwriting and carefully crafted arrangements. Check it out.
