We’re delighted today to premiere the new video for Australian guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel’s ‘Everybody Loves You’ featuring Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams. The song appears on Emmanuel’s current album ‘Accomplice Two’, the follow-up to 2018’s (have a guess) ‘Accomplice One’ album, and was recorded at TuneSmith Studios outside of Nashville, TN with Campbell on guitar and vocals, Williams on vocals, and Emmanuel on guitar, bass, and vocals. It’s produced by Tommy with Brad Benge as the engineer, and the infectious upbeat song was written by Larry Campbell.
The artists recorded the song live together at TuneSmith Studios outside of Nashville, TN. The clip was directed and edited by Joshua Britt and Neilson Hubbard for Neighborhoods Apart.
Tommy told AUK: “I first heard Larry and Teresa on a Little Feat festival down in Jamaica. I was immediately aware of how good they both were. We jammed a bit at the show and had some real chemistry together. When I was making Accomplice 2, I wanted them to cut a track with me. I looked at a video of them Singing “Everybody Loves You” on Relix. BOOM! That song was perfect for us to record. Larry and I could trade solos, and Teresa showed me how to sing the harmony with her! The video is live, so you can enjoy the fun we had that day!”
“This song is full of good ideas, and I like the message. It was easy to record as Teresa and Larry had a good, solid arrangement and it gave us a chance to jam and sing together too. Larry’s guitar parts are so self-contained, I only had to play harmonies and counter parts. Oh, they made it easy!!”
Larry continued: “Teresa and I both saw the opportunity to record with Tommy Emmanuel as the highlight of our year. As anyone who’s heard him play can testify his talent is unsurpassable, but to be in a creative environment with him, sharing his generosity of spirit is among the most fulfilling and joyous experiences we’ve had as musicians.”
