It’s been 10 years now since the Silver Jews left us, but praise the Lord, David Berman is back, this time in the guise of Purple Mountains, and he’s lost none of his lyrical wonder in the time that’s elapsed. The debut album comes out on Drag City on July 12th, and all our happiness is back.
