Lucinda Williams, Wilco, and Alejandro Escovedo were all inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame back in October last year, and on Saturday the ceremony premiered in the US on PBS stations with an extended special episode of the long-running live-music series. They’ve released two clips from the show – firstly of Williams herself being joined by Margo Price to perform her classic ‘Changed the Locks’; and then Wilco themselves who are joined by fellow honoree Alejandro Escovedo and a multitude of other performers including Rosanne Cash, Jason Isbell, Margo Price, Sheila E., and Terry Allen, Japanese Breakfast and more performing their Mermaid Avenue classic (but sadly without Billy Bragg this time) ‘California Stars’.
You can watch both clips below, and the whole episode is available on PBS’ website.
It was available (90 minutes worth) on PBS website at the weekend. End to end excellence (well maybe not so much the speeches but..).
Oops, thanks Richard, will correct that on the post
