Boy & Bear trip in time with new record and late winter 2026 tour dates

Trippig Over Time Boy & Bear Art Work

The Sydney, Australia band Boy & Bear have announced the release of their new studio album “Tripping Over Time”, on 12th December 2025 via V2 Records. The songs for the new record were recorded live and, while optimistic in tone, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. “Tripping Over Time” is said to “feel like one big celebration of joy, laced with a bittersweet, happy-sad energy. The band focuses on feeling rather than explaining: music that resonates on an emotional, not intellectual, level”.

The record also explores a more experimental, “trippy” side of Boy & Bear. “Recording in our own studio for the first time gave us the freedom to slow down and really experiment, without the pressure of expensive studio time”, they say. “It blurred the line between writing and recording, giving us a sense of freedom and an experimental spirit where we could chase ideas as they happened.”

Frontman Dave Hosking adds, “It’s about the subtle lessons of life. Often, you don’t realise you’ve gone through something until you’ve truly experienced it. You keep learning, stumbling forward, and embracing the chaos with a smile. It’s optimistic, nostalgic and playful, just like life itself.” You can pre-save “Tripping Over Timehere, or via your favourite music retailer.

The album is now available for pre-order. Those who pre-order have a chance to win a signed test pressing of the album and tickets for the band’s upcoming EU/UK tour, the dates for which can be found on the poster below, with tickets available via this link.
